She followed this success with several other prominent roles, including her portrayal of a wife in Robert Altman's "Short Cuts" and a blind performer in "The Blink" alongside Aidan Quinn.

InStowe played a psychiatrist in the science fiction film "Twelve Monkeys. Throughout her career, Stowe has continued to impress audiences with her remarkable performances. Her father was from Oregon and had Dutch, German and English ancestry. Her mother was from a prominent political family in Costa Rica.
